Floating Ashtray Update
WE FOUND A 3D PRINT FACTORY!
Floating Ashtrays will be restocked on 4/20. See you then!!
To meet the demand, we recently tried working with a 3D print house — but the quality didn't meet our standards. Soooo we’re printing in Shafeez’s home studio / office / factory once again. See more context below! It takes between 11-13 hours to print
The Lily Pad takes roughly 6hr and 40min, and the Flower Ashtray 5hr and 30min. That means we can't print as many as we'd like to, AND if a print messes up at the final layer, we stop and start again.
It takes a dedicated human
Shafeez sits right next to the printer to make sure it's working well, no issues are arising, and it meets our selling standard (something you just don't get when trying to outsource to a print house).
In the meantime we've recruited Kash, our original 3D printing wizard, while we chat with a few factories in North America about manufacturing The Floating Ashtrays for scale.
We’re waiting for answers and continuing to 3D print as we wait. So that means we don’t have an official restock date (we’re sorry and appreciate your patience). As soon as we know, we'll let you know. Until then, as always, thank you for getting high!
