Printed in 3D

Imagine a standard printer (you know, the one that never works at home) but it moves up and down vertically. Now, picture that same printer but instead of using ink it uses molten plastic. A standard Jointlocker is made of approximately 460 layers of plant-based plastic.

Made by plants

As for the “plant” in plant-based plastic, it can be anything from sugar cane, corn starch, to tapioca root. These plants go through a fermentation process that turn it into a plastic polymer that we use to 3D print.

SHOP JOINTLOCKERS

We don't recommend composting your Jointlocker — Certain filaments have additives (colouring, sparkles) which are harmful to the environment if not disposed correctly.

I WANT THIS
Creator of Jointlockers: Kash

By Kash

The origin story of Jointlockers began the way you imagine it would, with too many forgotten lighters. Kash, our resident product expert/wizard, took her obsession with 3D printing and decided to solve her own problem. After MANY iterations she welcomed the first Jointlocker to the world, and solved the problem for all of us.
