How to roll a joint on a row boat

Learn how to create innovative rolling trays, use your body as a joint holder, and if you make it to the end of this joint rolling tutorial, I wrote a song for you to sing while you roll your joint. Now what other cannabis accessory brand is writing songs?! EXACTLY.

It’s me, Chloe, again. I’m a Pisces Sun, Virgo Moon, Pisces Rising, so creating a tutorial for how to roll a joint on a lake, in a boat, might be what I was put on this planet to do. Rolling a joint on a boat, is a lot like rolling a joint anywhere else except you need to move quickly to ensure your rolling papers and weed don’t get wet, because dank weed is great, DAMP weed is not. PLEASE ENJOY. And thank you in advance for getting high.

1. Ensure you have your supplies

This might seem obvious, but the amount of times I’ve gotten into a boat and rowed out without the necessary smoking accessories is, too many times. So grab your rolling papers, Joint Cones, joint holders, smell proof containers, filters, Jointlockers, lighters, and everything you need so you can smoke weed.

🏁 Important Note 🏁

Since time is of the essence in this tutorial, I've skipped the step of grinding your weed—you already know how to do that. Grind your weed and place it on a surface. Lucky for us, this boat has a built-in rolling tray. If yours doesn't, get a new boat. KIDDING! Just use a cooler! Other innovative rolling trays include—but aren't limited to—a paddle, book, or your friend's back. You smoke weed, you'll think of something creative. You're brilliant.

2. Wrap your rolling papers around your Joint Cone

We’re getting right into it because when you’re on a boat, you never know what can happen! Time is of the essence! The plan here is to roll roll roll your joint quickly. As per usual, I’m using Edie Parker papers, and a tan Joint Cone.

3. Gently tap the bottom of your Joint Cone

After licking your rolling papers and allowing them to stick, gently tap the bottom of the Joint Cone. This will release it from the rolling papers, preparing you for the next step in our joint rolling tutorial.

4. Fold your filter

If you’ve watched any of my other joint rolling tutorials, you already know, I am a filter girl! I roll it 3 times like an accordion, and then fold the other way. I find this creates the perfect size for your joint, and makes sure no weed falls out of your rolling papers!

5. Get the filter to the bottom of your rolling paper

Incase you didn’t know, the filter goes at the bottom of the rolling paper. IF by chance, you didn’t know that — you should leave this joint rolling tutorial, and watch this joint rolling tutorial instead. I use my Joint Cone to gently push the filter to the bottom of my already perfect cone joint.

6. Fill your rolling paper with drugs!!

The thing to be mindful of here is moisture, since we’re on a boat, splishes and splashes happen. My advice is to have your rolling tray, or whatever you’re using as a rolling tray in the centre of the boat. I use the skinny end of my Joint Cone to pack the weed into my rolling papers.

7. Zamboni, ON A BOAT

This smooth move isn’t just for rolling joints on land! You can use your Joint Cone as a weed Zamboni anywhere! I don’t want to waste any weed, and I like when things are in order, it allows me to have more chaos. This move does both.

8. Roll the papers around the filter

Once your joint is packed, it’s time to do the twist, exactly like this.

🏁 Important Note 🏁

Now that your joint is rolled, place it safely in a joint case — we recommend The Jointlocker, it’s inarguably the best joint case/joint holder in the weed accessory game. But if you don’t have a Jointlocker, or a joint holder of any kind, no worries! Tuck it behind your ear for safekeeping. You are the joint holder.

9. Grab your joint from your joint holder

You’ve paddled to the desired smoking spot, and it’s time to get high! You can see here that I stored my joint in the Jointlocker because I’m biased.

10. Row Row Row Your Boat

I actually wrote a little song about it. It’s below if you even care.

Roll roll roll your joint, gently on the lake, merrily merrily merrily merrily, life is better baked.
